Archive link
I’m wondering where to put that archive link on the right. As the months go on that will push all other content down. But if I put it further down the page then nobody will see it. Although I suppose if they scroll down to read posts they will see it eventually.

A picture of Kasey and I. It was made in a kids drawing program by her last year.

My Tuesday
I spent the day working on the Western Devils’ web site, doing some updates. After that I listed the rest of my Dr Who books on Ebay. I also listed a Buffy the Vampire Slayer book that I found in a second hand store. It’s in really good shape.
One of Kasey’s friends left to go to China and so I was a bit sad, he and Kasey used to get along pretty well. He’s going to live somewhere else after he comes back so we most likely won’t see him again
Anyway I’m off to watch Rove ![]()

I saw this for sale on ebay.
It’s a burgundy/red wedding dress. It didn’t get any bids on it.

Saturday
I went into the city on Saturday and took a few photos of what Melbourne was like during the Commonwealth games.

The crowd wasn’t bad here yet because it was early. Lots of police and lots of people on loudspeakers saying things like “keep to the left” “watch out for trams” “This tram is going to blah blah… as you can see it is extremely full so please let people off before attempting to board it”

This is in Federation square, people watching events on the big screen and cheering. I originally went there to watch some Bollywood dancing that was happening nearby but as it turned out it was so full that people lined up for many hours and still didn’t get in.

These are some nice colourful fish thingies on the Yarra river. They put on some shows where the lights change and they spray water and other fun things. There were so many people crossing this bridge though that I couldn’t take more then one photo. With my camera I need to pause for half a minute to take a picture at night so no chance of taking more without being trampled to death while being shouted at by a person on a megaphone.

Last one, Alexander gardens, lots of people sitting around watching the entertainment. My daughter got bored there so I couldn’t actually see if there was much good entertainment but it looked like it was going to be fun. I had to balance my camera on top of the pram to take a night shot like this, I’m not geeky enough to take my tripod with me on a night like this one
No actually I am I just can’t remember where it is.

Prawns

Prawns with salad, one of the very few healthy things my daughter likes. Well except that she doesn’t eat the salad. A bit pricey but very tasty.

Domain sold
My domain name templateworld.com has officially sold. I’m a little sad to see it go as I liked the name but am pretty happy as I do need the money. It sold for US $800 minus a million fees. Maybe I should put the money towards buying more domain names ![]()

Busy weekend
I’ve been feeling very crappy, partly self inflicted from Saturday night with friends, partly kids germs finally getting to me. I slept for 14 hours last night but spent about 6 of them coughing thanks to a neverending scratchy feeling in my throat.
So basically I’ve spent the last two days sitting around feeling bad and trying to think of ways to entertain a 3 year old without moving. As it turns out there is no such way.
On a happier note someone has made me an offer on a domain name that I own. I’m not exactly sure I want to sell it but I’ll wait and see what their best offer is and then think about it.

New Lantern
It’s amazing how creativity works. Yesterday I slaved for hours trying to make a good logo with only absolute crap making it to the page. Today within maybe 2 hours I had a masterpiece from scratch. Don’t know if the client will think so but I sure like it.
Maybe I was inspired by my new lantern that arrived in the post today. You put some small candles in it and it looks great, I love it. It hangs off the ceiling.

Draining day
I’m having a bit of trouble with this 24/7 availability logo. But then I might just be too tired to create anything tonight. I did take 4 kids out to the shops without a car after all. I thought it would be nice to take all of Kasey’s friends out to the shoping centre where they had a jumping castle and face painting and other school holiday fun.
I don’t feel very happy though because I gave a pair of jeans to one of Kasey’s friends and her mum just had a total mental at her when she went home. They live just over the fence so I could hear her yelling. The girl then came back crying saying she’s not allowed to keep them.
I realize people have their pride but my god. I feel so bad for this girl she owns no clothes or toys, all her things are always caked in dirt and she’s had her hair shaved off.
Anyway I’m not trying to defend myself I just feel bad for getting her in trouble.
