New site
I’m just busily working on a new web site which I hope to open in the next few weeks. So if it’s a little quiet around here that is why.
Last weekend I went to a birthday party which was good and we’ve also been out and about with Kasey since there are so many public holidays and she has no crache or kinder. She’s at the neighbour’s place at the moment so I thought I’d quickly take the chance to write in here before she comes back.
We are hopefully going to a circus tomorrow with one of her friends so that should be fun and I’ll post some photos.

These boots…

I found these boots for Kasey in a second hand shop. She’s been dressing up as a cowgirl and having lots of fun.

Vending machines in Japan
I came across this page of photos of all different vending machines in Japan:

I like the mobile phone battery charging one (I needed that today while I was out) and the dry ice vending machine to keep your food cold till you get home.

Transparent monitors
Here’s a great trick to try when you have too much time on your hands. You take a photo of whatever is behind your monitor and set that as your desktop wallpaper and ta-da! you have transparent monitors. I’m going to have to try this.

Barney and the teletubbies
Well the dog’s birthday didn’t go ahead but I did find Barney and one of the teletubbies in my house on Sunday.

We also went to the zoo and had a nice day there.

Stumbled upon…
I was checking my referrer stats for my other web site when I noticed a referrer I hadn’t seen before. I clicked on it and found a very effective way to waste hours upon hours (like I needed more ways)
I’m sure everyone already knows about this since it usually takes me about 5 years till after everyone else to discover stuff but anyway I came across stumbledupon.com
It’s basically random browsing. You install their toolbar, pick some subjects you are interested in and you get taken to a random site. The sites are great quality and I have been using it for like 5 hours instead of doing something useful.
… Such as getting ready for tomorrow’s big event… a neighbours’ dog’s birthdy party (yes I said dog).
I better get to bed, knowing my luck the kids will be banging on the door at 6am dressed in their party clothes carrying a yapping dog and expecting lots of enthusiasm.

Fruit

We have this fruit growing outside on a smallish tree but I have no idea what it’s called. It tastes a bit like a pear.
On a completely unrelated topic, my new shih tzu site has gone from unranked to having a Google ranking of 5 all of a sudden which nearly made me fall out of my chair with suprise. I am certainly not complaining. It makes me think I should really be making more sites faster.
I read that on average you can expect to earn $1-2 dollars a month per article you have on your site. Which is not bad if you can churn out the articles fast or find a writer who charges little.

The train
I was reading my paper today and looked up to find this:

A train made by my little Kase. I was so proud
She called herself stupid today and it kills me, I don’t know if she was serious but I hated hearing it. So I’ve been trying to talk to her about it but she just ignores me and says “tickle me!” so I don’t know wheather to keep pushing the subject or just leave it alone.

Sport for Kase
I’m so happy. I have been wanting to enrol Kasey in something that would help her increase some skills (any kind) but all the good stuff for kids seems to be on the other side of the city. But last week there was a flyer up at her kinder about some new classes where they learn sports skills like basketball, tennis etc. We went along today to their free trial lesson and Kasey did great. She even got the ball in the basket and was so proud when everyone cheered.
I took the below pic with my phone. They were all so cute to watch. Here they are doing some knee bends. There were quiet a few kids there even though it looks like there’s only three in this photo.

She had a great time so I’m going to fork out and take her there every week.
