Ball Lightning
We just had a small thunderstorm which reminded me of a story my grandmother used to tell me. My grandmother used to be terrified of thunder storms. She said this wasn’t always the case. One day when she was younger she was sitting around their lounge with her family during a thunder storm. Their lights were on and their windows were open. Suddenly a bright ball came inside and hovered around the ceiling making a buzzing noise. They all hit the floor and crawled under tables terrified. The ball then hit the ceiling lights and then it was gone.
Since then and for the rest of her life every time there was any thunder my grandmother would run around in a panic closing all windows and doors.
According to this page many people have smilar experiences. But from what I read closing doors and windows doesn’t make much difference when it comes to ball lightning coming inside the house.

Present idea
For those who are wrecking their brains trying to come up with present buying ideas this Christmas, here’s a good one: The Beer of the Month Club
You can sign someone up for 3, 6 or 12 months. If your friends don’t happen to like beer there are plenty of other clubs to choose from (such as the cheesecake club mmmmm!).

Christmas decorations

I decided to try something different this year. Kase and I collected some branches which had fallen on the ground, spray painted them silver and hung some decoratons on them. Turned out pretty good even if I do say so myself
I plan to add a few more things to it before Xmas so it’s still a work in progress. I’ll post some more photos when it’s finished.

PayPerPost Love
Viral marketing is a technique that uses existing social networks to produce brand awareness through word of mouth, replicating like a computer virus. This is what Pay Per Post are very good at, putting advertisers who need to get their message out in touch with the large amounts of blogs and bloggers out there. I have really enjoyed writing for Pay Per Post so far, they have so many different types of open opportunities, there’s always something new to write about. The other good effect it has had aside from earning me some income from this blog is the number of posts I’m writing now have quadrupled and this has led to an increased amount of traffic and readers. Without Pay Per Post I’d probably still be posting just once a week.

Kids carnival
We went to a kids carnival on Saturday. it was a special event for NAB employees and friends. We got free food, Kasey got a free show bag, food, ice cream and rides. My only regret is I didn’t make it to the free Sushi on time before it ran out
Also a goat tried to eat my bag.

After that we went out to eat and kasey got her face painted as a lion. Here she is eating an ice cream.

Tamale’s Confessional
The team at the payperpost blog are doing confessionals again. This is Tamale’s (happy) confessional. I would also be happy if I worked in such a fun environment AND got a free HP camera
I’ve never owned a HP camera before so I can’t comment on the brand itself but I do know that I couldn’t live without my own digital camera. I can’t even imagine going back to the bad old days of using rolls of film and getting them developed…ugh! Listing on Ebay would certainly be no fun without a digital camera that’s for sure. Not to mention that digital cameras can usually take short movies as well which is very handy when the relatives want some updates.

Go Gay with Fablon
I found this in one of my Home Beautiful magazines from 1960.

Go Gay with Fablon. You’ll even get hundreds of gay decorating ideas. Excellent!

1 2 3 4 Hi-5!

These are Charlie and Nathan from Hi-5. We went to their show on Saturday even though Kasey is not really that much of a fan. But I figured we can’t not go to at least one of their concerts before Kasey grows up
It was fun and we went to the aquarium after that, followed by buying some very nice icecream a Southbank.

Belinda Emmett
Belinda Emmett passed away on Saturday morning after an almost 10 year battle with cancer. My sympathies to husband Rove McManus, and to Belinda’s family and friends. Grief stricken Rove has canceled the rest of his shows and is said to be understandably inconsolable. The family is asking that instead of flowers donations to the McGrath Foundation be sent.
