“After a while”
“After a While”
After a while you learn
the subtle difference between
holding a hand and chaining a soul
and you learn
that love doesn’t mean leaning
and company doesn’t always mean security.
And you begin to learn
that kisses aren’t contracts
and presents aren’t promises
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child
and you learn
to build all your roads on today
because tomorrow’s ground is
too uncertain for plans
and futures have a way of falling down
in mid-flight.
After a while you learn
that even sunshine burns
if you get too much
so you plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone
to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure
you really are strong
you really do have worth
and you learn
and you learn
with every goodbye, you learn…

Home made lemon air freshener
Here’s something I want to try (from tipnut)
Lemon Air Freshener Spray
Ingredients
2 cups hot water
1/8 cup baking soda
1/2 cup lemon juiceDirections
* First dissolve the baking soda in hot water then add the lemon juice. You can use ReaLemon for this (expired is fine).
I wonder if orange can be substituted for the lemon.

Cool doggy treat for the summer
Now here is a fun idea for the summer:

You can make some ice with the dogs chew toys in it and let doggy have hours (well minutes anyway) of fun taking it apart while getting a drink in the process.
You can even buy the ice maker bucket thing in that shape if you really want to here.

13th century homework
This is so cute. This is the homework of a 6 year old Russian boy living in the 13th century. He must have got a little bored of writing and made some nice artwork on the page. ![]()
