Planets aligning
The older I get the more it seems to me that groups of events just seem to happen together, For example out of the blue you might have three separate clients contact you all in one week, or you might get two separate stray cats turn up. Whatever it is, sometimes it seems like the planets are aligned in a way that encourages certain things to happen.
In my case it is the time of the “weird males who must follow me around and talk crap” time of year. It began with the friendly young Indian man who offered to carry my shopping across the bridge with the many stairs. Very nice. Until he proceeded to follow me home saying things like “can I please be your friend” “God has bought us together” “Can I come over right now”.
Next was the old man on the bike complaining of a toothache but he turned out to be ok. I was just still jumpy from the Indian man incident.
Next was the slightly socially awkward step brother of one of Kasey’s friends who was supposed to just drop her off but instead ended up staying and talking to me for about two hours until his parents called and told him to go home. The moment he left there was a knock at the door. It was no surprise that it was yet another person, a neighbor this time who wanted to have yet another endless discussion about the Body Corporate of our units and how everything shall be my fault if I don’t turn up at the next meeting blah blah.
This, all in the space of a week. I’m hoping the planets are now moving on and it’s time for something else. Like maybe the time of “making lots of money on Ebay” phase of the moon. Or even “meeting a nice non-crazy man” phase. Any astrologers out there?

Bendigo and other things
We’ve had an eventful couple of weeks and being a quiet Saturday morning I thought I would do some blogging. So get ready for the internet equivalent of my “I’m back from holidays” slideshow! Just kidding. Well sort of.
We went to Bendigo last week, it was my first trip away without another adult so it was something new to feel good about. It was a really nice experience and kind of a bonding time with my daughter which always helps.
We stayed at the Tea House Motor Inn which was nice, complete with comfy beds and a swimming pool outside. The beds were so comfy actually that I dosed off every time I lay down on it so I had to stay off them altogether till night time.
Here are a few highlights of the trip:

This is the Vertical Slide at the Discovery Science and Technology Centre.

My photos didn’t do The Golden Dragon Museum enough justice.
The place inspired Kasey to draw this friendly looking dragon.
The only bad part of our trip was ordering food from a local restaurant, Clogs:

As well as what you see in the picture we had another side order of fries (I already ate most the salad before I took the picture). Anyway how much would you expect to pay for this? $25? Maybe $30? IT COST ME $48!!!!!!!! I nearly fell over when the guy told me the total. That really put a dent into the trip money and next time I think we will either order from somewhere we are familiar with or go out to eat.
